Maritime Simulation Centre Warnemünde, Germany
Mission of the institution
The Maritime Simulation Centre is worldwide the only one offering the possibility of combining the simulation of nautical and technical ship operation with the shore-based support of the VTS system. It was built for the education of the maritime seagoing personnel (ship officers) and provides an excellent basis for research and development.

- Training of ship handling with a computer-based simulator
- Training of ship engine handling with a computer-based simulator
- Training of vessel traffic services with a computer-based simulator
Number of students and target group
The target learner group are the students of the University of Applied Science studying nautical science and navigation and maritime management engineering. Another important target learner group are the personnel (adults) of seagoing ships using the MSCW in their lifelong learning and training.
