The Greek language has a tradition of more than 3400 years. Except from Chinese no other still used language has survived in written form until the present days. It is spoken in Greek and Cyprus and some other parts of the Mediterranean area by approximately 15–25 million people. Greek uses a special alphabet different from Latin letters.
